'' The Symantec Certification Program is a powerful tool you can use to develop and recognize your technical skills and knowledge in the security arena. The program focuses on the skill sets, knowledge, and expertise required by systems administrators, network engineers and security strategy consultants to design, deploy, support and manage enterprise-wide security solutions.
The Symantec Certification Program consists of three levels of certification, supported by a common base of knowledge (TCP/IP networking and OS proficiency). The base requirements include the knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP principals and proficiency in at least one operating system (UNIX, Windows 2000/NT). Symantec does not specifically test TCP/IP and OS pre-requisite knowledge, however it provides a critical basis of knowledge to be applied by the successful candidate. ...''
