The Beijing Internship Program offers a spring semester in China’s capital city. The program combines intensive study of the Chinese language with an internship in a foreign or Chinese company. Students take intensive language classes in the first part of the term to prepare them for their internship placements. After beginning their internships, students continue their study of language by taking a one-on-one or one-on-two tutorial. They also attend a course on contemporary Chinese culture. Supplementing this coursework are excursions to surrounding areas of Beijing and a longer trip to Shanghai over the midterm break. The program is operated in conjunction with CET and all classes are taught at CET’s Beijing campus. Upon successful completion of a semester (20 weeks), students receive 20 Boston University credits.
