Course Description:
'' Locally known as ’Mountain Adventure’, this activity is rewarded with an enormous sense of achievement and pride in each individual. They not only get to experience the wilderness and unique beauty the Cairngorms National Park is famous for, but they gain first hand knowledge in the importance of group safety, suitable clothing, sufficient food and water and the satisfaction of a task achieved even when it is tiring or difficult.
The students will be accompanied by a qualified instructor who will discuss a suitable location with them and involve them in planning all that is needed for the day.
While out on the activity, the students will be able to put into practice caring for the environment, learning about the local fauna and flora and should they begin to show signs of weariness, there are ample games up the instructor’s sleeve to help motivate them.
The instructor’s aim is to make the activity challenging but achievable, informative and mostly a fun and memorable experience. ...''
