Course Description:

'' CIAL has successfully conducted Portuguese courses for foreigners since 1972. The center enjoys recognition from the Ministry of Education of Portugal and has established a special department in charge of the creation of materials and the improvements of teaching techniques. Students are offered free access to all the facilities at each school, which include a language library, language laboratory, video and computer services. The center’s teachers are carefully selected, university qualified native speakers of Portuguese.




The school holds membership in a variety of qualitative organizations, including the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Lisbon, the Portuguese UK Chamber of Commerce, the College Consortium of International Studies in the U.S., the International Association of Language Centers (IALC), and the International Conference Group of Portugal, U.S. In 1990, CIAL’s language courses were recognized by the ICALP (Instituto Portugues de Lingua e Cultura).

The old and new rub shoulders: wide shady avenues and the streets and alleys of picturesque old districts; monuments and museums together with skyscrapers. The school operates 4 different facilities in Lisbon and all are modern, well-equipped and centrally located. Each is just a short walk from cultural centres and touristic points of interest.
