Course Description:
'' Students undertaking this program of study will learn to design and develop interactive content for a range of platforms including the internet, mobile phones, CD-Rom, DVD and touch-screen.
Key features of the course include multimedia development, graphic design, interface design, and interaction design for the internet and broadcast media. Scriptwriting, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, video and sound editing, development and programming also form part of the course.
The program offers elective units in graphic design and techniques for pre-press and print production for students wishing to specialise in print-based media. The Bachelor of Creative Media (with a Major in Graphic Design) is also available at the Brisbane campus.
An essential tool for gaining employment on graduation is a comprehensive portfolio of work demonstrating the candidate’s practical and creative skills. To this end, there is a focus throughout the course on portfolio development. In addition, students also have the opportunity to enter a 13 week internship program during their second year of study, where they will receive practical work experience and industry contacts.
Similar to ever other course offered by Qantm, students also undertake units essential to understanding the commercial environment of this competitive field. These include communications design, project management, business and copyright law.
