'' CCVP Bootcamp Course Description


The CCVP Bootcamp course is a 15-day, lab-intensive course designed for delivery by HBFITES. This task-oriented course teaches the knowledge and skill needed to achieve the CCVP certification.

CCVP Bootcamp combines the following courses: Cisco Voice Over IP (CVOICE), Cisco IP Telephony (CIPT 1), Cisco IP Telephony Part 2 (CIPT2), Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS) and Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC). Because of the accelerated nature of the class, be prepared for long days in class, as long as 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and a heavy study load. Also, not all material in the student manuals for each course will be reviewed in class. Students will have opportunities to ask questions on the material covered in the course kits that is not presented in class.

Together, these courses provide the preparation that Cisco Systems recommends for the Cisco Certified Voice Professional examination. CCVP Bootcamp allows you to get that preparation with just two weeks off the field.


Course Contents


CVOICE
CVOICE lays the foundation for gaining hand-on skills and significant understanding of packet telephony by presenting the technologies that are common for both Enterprise and Service Provider students. The course also teaches students how to use the available Cisco tools to find the information needed to accomplish their everyday tasks. Since no two networks are alike, this approach enables a student to apply the knowledge gained in this course to their specific needs.

CIPT1
Implementing Cisco Unified Communications IP Telephony Part 1 (CIPT1) v6.0 prepares you for installing and configuring a Cisco Unified Communications Manager solution in a single site. This course focuses primarily on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.0, the call routing and signaling component for the Cisco Unified Communications solution.

CIPT2
Implementing Cisco Unified Communications IP Telephony Part 2 (CIPT2) v6.0 prepares you for installing and configuring, a Cisco Unified Communications Manager solution in a multisite environment. This course focuses on Cisco Unified CallManager Release 6.0, the call routing and signaling component for the Cisco Unified Communications solution. It also includes H.323 and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) gateway implementation, the use of a Cisco Unified Border Element, and configuration of Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), different mobility features, and voice security.

TUC
Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications Systems (TUC) equips network professionals with the knowledge and skills required to troubleshoot Cisco Unified Communications systems in enterprise, mid-market, and commercial deployments. TUC teaches troubleshooting methodology, triage, resources, tools, and fixes at the integrated system/solution level, and for components, such as Cisco Unified CallManager, Cisco Unity, videoconferencing, and infrastructure.

QOS
The Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QOS) course, designed for both Service Provider and Enterprise environments, provides students with in-depth knowledge of IP QoS requirements, conceptual models using Differentiated Services (DiffServ), Integrated Services (IntServ) and Best Effort (over provisioning), and the implementation of IP QoS on Cisco IOS switch and router platforms.
