'' This course examines the mechanics of grammar, teaches you how to produce well-constructed sentences, and introduces you to techniques for writing effective paragraphs. The course begins by reviewing the parts of speech and examining sentence structure. Topics include techniques for devising clear, forceful sentences, as well as ways of detecting and correcting problems such as faulty parallelism, fragments, run-on sentences, and dangling and misplaced modifiers. By the end of the course, you will be able to detect and correct grammatical errors in your writing and produce clear, concise prose.
