Course Description:

'' Learn what is new and exciting in film, television and new media production and post-production. Topics include film and video acquisition, procedures for dailies including new HD formats, picture editing and workflow, sound and sound editing, advances in cinematography, lighting, visual effects and production design. Transferring to different formats and using cost-saving techniques enables you to make choices in pre-production that will avoid headaches in post-production. New products and post-production equipment will be demonstrated and their advantages and disadvantages discussed, including their impact on a production’s budget and schedule. While this course provides information on some of the latest technologies available in the film, TV and entertainment industry, the course predominantly focuses on the administration and cost effectiveness of these tools on a production budget. ...''
