'' The Greek myths have inspired poets, musicians, filmmakers and artists for generations. The stories, sometimes tragic, sometimes heroic, sometimes humorous, continue to be relevant because in them we see ourselves. In this course, we look at the stories, their origins and meanings, and see how theyve been used as vehicles for the creation of works of art by some of the greatest European artists of the past 500 years, including Botticelli, Goya, Titian, Tintoretto, Rembrandt, Bernini, Velazquez, El Greco, Turner, Manet, Cezanne, Rubens, Poussin, Cellini and many others. ...''
