'' This course presents a sophisticated understanding of the psychology of propaganda and the art of persuasion. Begin with a brief history of early Western propaganda, including ancient Greek classical theories of rhetoric and the art of persuasion. Explore the development of propaganda through the Christian era, the rise of the nation-state, World War I, Nazism and Communism; and finally examine the psychology of propaganda and the art of persuasion in modern life and more free societies. ...''
