'' This innovative model of learning uses a flexible approach to continuing education and cross-training of people in the mining industry and related trades. The program combines the convenience of online learning with short-courses held in a classroom and then finishes the learning experience by assigning a project to be completed after the short-course.

Each year inter-related online and classroom courses will be offered within the following five streams:

1. Mining Methods and Planning
2. Mineral Processing
3. Geotechnical and Rock Mechanics
4. Mine Management: Risk Assessment, Financial Analysis
