'' The Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) is a major new standard for distributed application development using Java. It provides a server-side component model for developing enterprise-distributed applications. Master and apply the EJB 2.0 API to write vendor neutral, scalable, high-performance components and deploy them into Sybase Enterprise Application Server (EAServer) to provide a robust, scalable deployment environment for leveraging the strengths of EJBs quickly. This technology greatly simplifies application development by putting the onus for system level logic (transaction management, persistence, security, etc.) on the middle-tier component transaction server. Course Objectives : Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Describe the EJB architecture and relate it to other distributed models Describe the role of EAServer within this architecture Create and deploy both session bean and entity bean components Access Enterprise JavaBeans form a Java client Perform multiple-component database transactions ...''
