Course Description:

'' Gain familiarity with EDI Server (not including Gateway) or Adapter Suite, and map "to and from" ANSI X12 transactions utilizing sequential files and databases. Create a flat file to flat file map allowing you to address different proprietary application to the format of a different proprietary application. Learn to navigate EDI Server and Adapter Suite by mapping a sequential file to an X12 850 (purchase order) transaction. Examine the concepts of handling back to back like segments and loops by mapping an X12 810 (invoice) transaction to a sequential file. Select data from a database and create an X12 850 transaction and acquire an introduction to the Select and Fetch capabilities available in EDI Server and Adapter Suite.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

Set up any mapping environment (flat file to flat file, X12 to sequential application file, sequential application file to X12).
Run your map successfully
Verify results and troubleshoot problems
Map System Variables to Memory Variables.
Hard Code values to address trading partners implementation guide requirements.
Implement trading partners requirements.
