'' Learn the extended skills of server administration: what to do when hardware fails, and how to implement special-use features of Adaptive Server Enterprise 15. Practical troubleshooting techniques and disaster prevention will make ASE highly available. Special features allow for greater flexibility in migration and automating administration, server monitoring, integrated data spaces, and resource management.
Course Objectives :
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
Create a new ASE server and perform post-installation security tasks
Describe ASE connectivity and implement balanced network and port utilization with fail-over safety
Describe Sybase Asset Management and Licensing Architecture
Describe the mechanics of database and table allocation/deallocation
Use DBCC commands to detect and resolve table fragmentation, allocation, and linkage problems
Perform effective backups, and troubleshoot dump, load, and recovery problems
