Course Description:
'' Mirror Activator leverages the benefits of storage replication, synchronous mirroring for zero data loss, high reliability and high performance storage and networking infrastructure between the primary and standby sites to ensure that Sybase ASE transactions are replicated in near real-time. This course is for experienced Sybase ASE and Replication Server customers who need to quickly learn how to prepare Mirror Activator for Storage Replication by configuring the requisite Mirror Activator components.
Intensive, hands-on labs will demonstrate tasks for the set up, configuration, deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring of a Mirror Activator environment and teach you how to increase the efficiency and reduce the workload on the Storage Replication system. Upon completion of this course, you should be able to describe Mirror Activator best practices and immediately perform the tasks required to enable Mirror Activator at your own site. This course does not include labs to perform setup and configuration of Storage Replication vendor products, but does include a lecture on integrating Mirror Activator within an EMC Storage environment.
Topics in this course include: Mirror Activator concepts and architecture; Setup, configuration, administration, and fundamental troubleshooting; Advanced mirroring features; Sybase Central; Mirror Activator Performance and Tuning; Mirror Activator and Storage Replication solutions.
