'' This course examines the criminal justice system through the lens of human behavior theories. The course covers three main components: the behavioral science and the law, behavioral science in the courtroom, and forensic psychology beyond the courtroom. Topics include eyewitness identification, interrogations, confessions and the psychology of juries, sentencing and corrections. Students learn effective communication skills and appropriate technologies to understand underlying motives and prevention of criminal behavior, as well as control within the realm of Constitutional and state laws and the current interpretations of those laws.
