Training Course:Language Program Administration (Certificate)School/Trainer:Monterey Institute of International Studies Monterey, California, United States
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Many MATESOL and MATFL graduates assume positions of responsibility extending far beyond their academic preparation as classroom teachers. Such jobs typically involve teacher training and supervision, program evaluation, directing or coordinating programs, and various other administrative responsibilities.

This interdisciplinary approach allows faculty to work across disciplines to integrate the non-teaching components with the needs of future language program administrators.
Students choose to pursue the LPA for many reasons, depending on their individual goals, but whether it is a fast-track to administrative positions, the basis for entrepreneurial efforts, or a foundation for academic leadership, it is valuable preparation for a long-term career in the language teaching profession. ...''
