'' Healthcare: risk and safety management is a new course tailored specifically to the needs of healthcare professionals. This new, intensive training programme is aimed at directorate managers, ward managers and departmental managers working within acute care, primary care and ambulance Trusts, mental healthcare and nursing homes.
Developed jointly by IOSH and the University of Wales College of Medicine, and recently launched by John Hutton, Minister of State for Health, Healthcare: risk and safety management:

covers healthcare risk management and specific issues - including healthcare governance, occupational stress, conflict management and infection control

ensures standardisation of core knowledge across the whole healthcare sector

can be finely tuned to meet UK wide standards
