Course Description:
'' The aim of this course is to introduce users to the concepts involved in Desk Top Publishing. Delegates will learn the crucial skills which will enable them to create a variety of documents, from one-page flyers and advertisements through to product brochures or newsletters - for pre-press or PDF consumption.
As well as covering the key menu options and features available in InDesign, the course will include basic design principles and tips, ensuring that their documents always look professional. Throughout the course, delegates will be encouraged to apply their new knowledge to their current work environment and develop examples to take away with them on disk.
Course Objectives By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:
Navigate the InDesign environment Understand basic document setup (creating text & working with graphics) Create and apply master pages Import and thread text Working with colours, swatches, and gradients Format characters, paragraphs and styles Work with graphics, text wrap and use layers Apply transparency effects Create, import and format tables Prepare to handoff to a commercial printer Generating PDF files for Web output Course Contents (Course Topics may vary at the Trainer’s Discretion)
