'' Macromedia Dreamweaver MX allows users to design and produce pages for the World Wide Web. This course covers planning, creating, editing, publishing and site management issues and will enable the delegates to design and construct innovative, professional and dynamic website pages.
The course teaches delegates to visually layout Web pages, upload, download and transfer files and introduces delegates to various powerful tools that will enable you to manage your website once it is published.

The Dreamweaver Workspace Overview of the Dreamweaver screens, the document window, floating palettes, the property inspector and the launcher. Using shortcuts, context menus and built-in help. HTML Basics Enough HTML to understand what goes on with a web page, and how to fix common problems. An appreciation of browser-specific features and the structure of a web page. ‘Round trip HTML�and cleaning up code from elsewhere, e.g. Microsoft Word. Creating Web Sites & Web Pages Designing the layout of your web. Setting page properties, such as background, margins and colours. Checking download speed and appearance on different platforms. Using Styles and Templates Creating your own paragraph and character styles. Building and using templates for web pages. Overview of style sheets. Designing Your Website Important considerations for online publishing, including clarity, consistency, layout, audience and colours. Differences from paper-based publishing. Hyperlinks Making links within pages and to other pages. Text, buttons, images and email links. Understanding link targets. Header Content Setting the title for a page. Making best use of meta tags for keywords, robots, refresh etc. How search engines index your site. Tables Creating tables within pages. Using tables for layout. Setting table properties, such as width (percent or pixels), borders and alignment. Setting the properties of cells within the table. Merging and splitting cells. Images and Layout Tools Placing images in the page. Comparison of GIF, JPG, PNG and PDF images, and how they affect download time. Using horizontal rules effectively. Positioning object precisely.
