This course will provide the skills necessary to use Red Hat Linux and will also lay the foundation of knowledge necessary to move onto the System Administration path and possibly on to RHCT and RHCE certification. Course Objectives On completion of the course the delegate will have a good practical knowledge of the Red Hat Linux operating system, the command structures and the editor facilities. They will also gain the key skills required to work towards achieving the Red Hat certification status. Skills Gained Create, copy, rename, move and delete files and directories. Use the shell’s redirection and pipe facilities. Edit text files using the vi editor. Set up and change access permissions on files. Monitor and control their own processes.
