'' Connectivity and Implementation on Lans and Wans
This 3-day hands-on course thoroughly explores the connectivity issues behind the construction of both Local Area and Wide Area networks. It covers, in depth, the functions of various network devices including the hardware and the concepts behind it. Common LAN standards and architectures as well as the connectivity options available on the WAN are analysed. The most common LAN protocols are used in the classroom and the exercises give a good grounding in generic networking concepts.
Course Objectives
To enable delegates to understand how networks (LANs and WANs) are built. To enable the understanding of the role, function and operation of various network devices and components. To enable appreciation of common networking and internetworking protocols and standards. To provide delegates with hands-on experience of LANs and an appreciation of future trends in the industry.

Identify the use of the essential components needed for a network and its construction.
Compare critically the operation of different major network architectures.
Distinguish between the following network devices and know which situations require their use: Hubs, Bridges, Switches, and Routers.
