Understand the Quality of Service issues specific to voice communication and how they differ to those of ‘traditional�data. Fully understand Telephony protocols such as H.323, SIP, MGCP, Megaco, SIGTRAN, etc. Be aware of the need for detailed planning when considering VoIP on an existing LAN/WAN. Explain the different approaches to VoIP and understand what is ‘real�and what is ‘hype� Confidently manage and participate in VoIP projects and implementations. ...''
