'' This programme is a major in Spanish. Upon graduation, candidates will be conferred with Bachelor of Language and Linguistics degree.
The Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (Spanish) programme is a 3-year degree programme, where candidates will be exposed to one of the most famous of Romance languages. Spanish is an Iberian Romance language and in 2000, was estimated to be spoken by roughly 364 million people in the world - making it the fourth most spoken language. It is also the most widely studied Romance language.
From Spain to Argentina to the Philippines, Spanish has had a marked influence on the cultures through its history. Spanish is also one of the six official working languages of the United Nations, and after English, the most widely used. The popularity of Spanish among non-native speaking nations has also increased, due to international recognition in literature, film, television and music. At the end of their study, candidates will be conferred the degree Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics. ...''
