Course Description:
'' The Master of Science (Dental Public Health) �MSc ( DPH ) is a two years programme conducted by coursework and dissertation. The course is in the field of Community Dentistry which comprises of Preventive and Dental Public Health. The training philosophy is based on the Primary Health Care Approach towards attaining health for all.
To support the above goal, a sound knowledge in public health philosophy and policy, oral health promotion, social and behavioral science, administration, epidemiology , statistics, health management and financing, research methodology, scientific communication skills, ethics and jurisprudence, current concepts and comparative of oral health delivery systems in the practice of dentistry will be discussed in detail.
Part of the training will be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine.
Candidates will conduct a research project leading to a dissertation which will be assessed at the end of the second year. ...''
