'' Medical physics is the implementation of applied physics to medicine, and generally concerns physics applied to medical imaging and radiotherapy. However a medical physicist may work in many other areas of healthcare, with many hospitals, universities and research centres investing heavily into medical research, technical development and clinical healthcare.
From x-rays to MRI’s, the way doctors scan the human body has come a long way, and the continued application of physics paves the way for newer better systems to be put in use. Laser surgery, ultrasound, prosthetic limbs; modern medicine has benefited so much from the implementation of physics to healthcare. ...''
