Course Description:

'' Cisco optical transport platform ONS 15454 SONET MSPP is evolutionary - it allows transport networks to seamlessly evolve with rapidly changing technologies and bandwidth demands. Cisco optical networking solutions combine efficient, high-speed optical transport with a variety of service interfaces. This platform helps service providers reduce worries about high costs, bandwidth bottlenecks, network inefficiencies, and changing technology trends, by combining multiple Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers, Digital Cross-Connects, Multi-Services 10/100/1000 Ethernet, and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing into a single Chassis.


The purpose of this course is to instruct the student on how to turn up and test the ONS 15454 Multi-Service Provisioning Platform in support of SONET/SDH optical transport networks.



Course Objectives

The scope of the course is to instruct Deployment Engineers in the procedures required to install, setup, provision and test the ONS 15454 Multi-Service Provisioning Platform.

By the end of the course the student will:

Understand the technical issues related to deploying the Cisco ONS 15454 Multi-Service Provisioning Platform.
Be able to test, turn up, and support, the Cisco ONS 15454 Multi-Service Provisioning Platform and its associated network configurations.
