Course Description:

'' The Medical Secretarial Programme is managed full time over a year and is held at the The Hub. The Course includes a wide variety of medical topics as well as practical reception and secretarial skills.

The work placement provides students with the opportunity to utilise their acquired knowledge and skills in a practical environment. Guest speakers from the Health Service sector are invited and give valuable up-to-date professional contributions to the programme.

By providing students with a broad range of subjects they are both prepared and qualified for a career in the medical environment

COURSE STRUCTURE
The course commences in September and is scheduled over 3 days per week between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. This 1 year programme also includes a 2 week period of work experience in either a General Practice or Hospital environment. You will be counselled and supported throughout the course in order for you to achieve your maximum potential.

Amspar Intermediate Diploma in Medical Reception
OCR Level 2 Award in Administration
OCR Level 1 Certificate in Text Processing
OCR Level 2 Diploma in Text Processing (inc Medical Word Processing & Medical Audio Transcription)
