'' This course provides students with the high standard of training required to begin working with children. Employment opportunities are expected in: Private Day Nurseries as Nursery Assistants Non Teaching Assistants in Schools Crèche and Play Workers Holiday and Out of School Club Workers HOW IS THE COURSE ORGANISED? This course runs over five full days consisting of three days in college and two days in placement for one year. An 80% attendance is expected to be successful in completing the course. Assessment consists of five national assignments plus Practice Evidence Record Sheets linked to placement. These assignments are: Unit 1 The Physical Care And Development of the Child Unit 2 Working with young Children Unit 3 Emotional and Social Development Unit 4 Preparing for Employment with Young Children Unit 6 Practical Training (The placement supervisor will decide whether you have passed this unit through your Practice Evidence Record Sheets and Professional Development Profiles). ...''
