Course Description:
'' The Diploma Course aims to prepare candidates to work competently, safely and effectively with children aged 0-8 years.
The course also aims to prepare Early Years Practitioners to work in a wide range of settings with different professionals while recognising and valuing the importance of providing a quality service for children and their families.
HOW IS THE COURSE ORGANISED?
This course runs over five full days consisting of three days in college and two days in placement. An 80% attendance is expected to be successful in completing the course. Assessment consists of:
two portfolios (units 1 & 2)
9 unit assignments
1 test paper at the end of the course
satisfactory Practice Evidence Record Sheets (Unit 12)
satisfactory Professional Development Profiles (Unit 12)
All units and the Test Paper must be passed to gain the full award.
