Course Description:
'' The course has been developed to provide you with an introduction to the areas of dance and drama. It creates a good foundation for progression on to National Diploma level. The one year full-time course is delivered on our High Melton site with a fully equipped theatre and dance studio. This practical course is delivered with a balanced mixture of dance and drama components. You will be involved in live performance projects and your progress will be measured by continual assessment throughout the year with the aim of establishing a range of performance skills. You will study GCSE Dance or GCSE Drama alongside the course. The course involves Core Study areas and Specialist Units. Core unit: Production Project Performing Arts Business
Specialist units include: Dance Performance Acting Musical Theatre
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. Applicants will be asked to attend a group workshop and an individual interview that will include an dance piece or a monologue. ...''
