'' This award is aimed at people new to the Engineering Industry who require qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical specialisms. The first year general course which covers topics both in Electrical and Mechanical with progression onto course 2E/2M if successful. The learner will then specialise in Electrical / Mechanical. It can form part of the Apprenticeships framework, and it is also suitable for the mature student Attendance is required is for a period of 30 weeks. The course requires the completion of four core units and four specialist units, assessed by internal practical or written assignments.
