'' This is a flexible course and excellent career links are available with both local and National Industry. The College is a member of the South Yorkshire CoVE Hospitality and Catering Centre of Vocational Excellence.
This course is a City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Food and Drink Service where you will work in realistic working environments within the Waterfront Restaurant and Conference Centre serving a variety of food and drink to high Industry standards.
The course covers the following units:
Maintain a safe hygienic, and secure working environment Contribute to effective team work Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
Plus at least 4 from the following list:
Prepare and clear areas for counter/takeway service Provide a counter/ takeaway service Prepare and clear areas for table service Serve food at the table Provide a silver service Provide a buffet/carvery service Prepare and clear the bar area Serve alcoholic and soft drinks Prepare and serve cocktails Prepare and serve bottled wines Prepare cellars and kegs Clean Drinks dispense lines Prepare and serve dispensed and instant hot drinks Prepare and serve hot drinks using specialist equipment Receive, store and issue drinks stock Maintain and deal with payments ...''
