'' A Computer Aided Draughting and designer draws the items that can be used as either plans for various items from house plans through to components that can be then used for manufacture. Some drawings can interface via suitable software to Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) which produce items directly from the drawing itself.

The course prepares the student for the City &Guilds 4353 certificate in 2D or 3D design and draughting.

The complete course of training involves up to 12 months of study and practice according to previous experience, pace, pattern and time. The course is presented as a series of two instructional units based around a set of learning objectives, tasks, explanatory text and practical assignments.
