Effective managers recognize the need for business analysts to accurately analyze, document, and gain approval of business requirements before the development of applications can begin. They recognize that an effective business analyst can deliver real business benefits �usable software, shorter life cycles, lower budgets, and shorter time to market. An industry definition of the business analyst’s role, distinct from that of the project manager, is emerging as organizations recognize and quantify the benefits associated with the particular body of knowledge that these specialists bring to each project. PROGRAM GOAL This comprehensive program focuses on the soft and hard competencies required by a business analyst. The goal is to produce professional business analysts who can gather, validate, communicate, document, model, manage, and test user requirements throughout the project life cycle.
