Course Description:
'' The Stanford Wealth Management program is a five day, intellectually rigorous wealth management program designed in collaboration with the Institute for Private Investors. The objective of the program is to help attendees confidently oversee the construction of their portfolios, select advisors, evaluate managers, and consider asset protection and estate planning structures. Attendees are also asked to consider the impact of wealth on their values and on their relationships. Nobel Laureate William F Sharpe will teach a course on ’Investment Risks and Returns’. This year, the program will specifically address how investors should respond to the current financial crisis.
In addition to the core wealth management courses, the program asks attendees to address the purpose of wealth within their lives through two courses: What Is Money For? and Raising Responsible Children in Abundance.
The program allows participants to increase their depth of knowledge in key areas of wealth management while having the unusual chance to learn alongside other individuals with significant wealth. The case studies for the program will be directly related to the wealth management issues that a newly liquid individual may experience.
