Course Description:

'' VectorWorks 2008 is an easy-to-use, fully featured CAD program capable of precision 2D drafting and complete 3D modeling. Its intuitive interface and ability to work in both Macintosh and Windows environments seamlessly has made it a dominant design program in the entertainment industry, specifically for Art Departments.

The introductory VectorWorks 2008 class will concentrate on using the program to produce 2D CAD drafting, including essential drawing and editing techniques, the use of symbols and other resources, organization of the drawings using layers, classes, and viewports, and will teach all the skills needed to draw accurate plans and elevations. The class will also explore the hybrid 2D/3D nature of VectorWorks objects, demonstrating how to develop a 3D model as you draft.
