'' This instructor-led course is designed for MySQL developers who wish to obtain the skills required to create complex queries and efficient structures while improving the performance of their database applications. In addition, the MySQL developers will also be provided with additional query writing techniques that support creating reports that support the end users along with the skills required to create and utilize trees and hierarchical data structures.

At the completion of this course, you should be able to:

Utilize the multiple indexing options available to create better response times of query executions
Improve the design of joins to minimize performance related issues and produce better results
Design and optimize queries that are responsible for searching text and date fields
Design and utilize queries that perform complex calculations and aggregations
Create report queries that provide the end users with precise and organized data
Explain the affect locking levels have on query performance
Improve the process of importing data into MySQL
Design and work with tables that utilize tree and hierarchical data structures
Utilize multiple MySQL tips and tricks to complete database development tasks in a more efficient and timely manner ...''
