'' One of the primary reasons why projects fail to deliver to cost and programme relates to changes (both planned and un-planed) occurring. Everyone in the project team has a part to play in controlling change and Project Managers have a particular responsibility for ensuring effective change management processes are implemented on their projects.
Change takes many forms; it has varied sources and occurs anytime through the life of the project. In many cases, the significance of the impact of change is not fully appreciated (at the time) nor is it well managed.
Aims and Objectives: This course aims to describe change, how it may be identified, how the impact may be minimised, and the tools that may be used to quantify change, the processes used for approving and managing change and communication within the project team. The course will discuss how and when change may be incorporated, how it may be anticipated, and strategies used to minimise it and its impact.
Learning Outcomes: On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
Recognise change on their projects Quantify change Control its passage through the assessment and approval process Have gained an insight into how Project Management principles may be used to ensure change is delivered properly and efficiently
