Course Description:
'' Over 36% of lost time at work accidents is attributed to manual handling. Whilst fatal accidents are rare, accidents resulting in major injuries, some of which include fractured limbs, are common.
Course Objectives:
This one-day course is designed to provide both the employer and employee with suitable information and practice to enable them to act in accordance with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and more specific The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. It will provide attendee’s with knowledge based guidance on how to interpret legislation and carry out and record manual handling risk assessments.
The course offers attendees the opportunity to discuss their workplace and their legal duties explained under current legislation. This knowledge will enable attendees to return back to their workplace and apply safe systems of work, a legal requirement.
