'' There is much emphasis these days on the care of people with dementia. Yet many people do not understand what dementia is and how it can affect those diagnosed with it. Dementia can be managed to enable people to have the best quality of life and the first step in the process of managing dementia is to understand the condition. This course aims to enable and empower delegates with the knowledge and skills to manage dementia in a care setting. The emphasis is on practical skills and techniques which actually work in a care setting, backed up with good practice and theory.
