'' Regular maintenance of the structural integrity, skid resistance and weather proofing of flexible pavements is vital, not only in terms of user safety, comfort and convenience, but significantly that the capital asset is protected.
Aims and Objectives:
To describe the legal duty, physical and economic challenges to maintaining all weather pavement surfaces
To increase knowledge and understanding of a wide range of surface maintenance treatments and their appropriateness and cost effective application, including recycling options
Learning outcomes:
On completion of the course, delegates will have:
An awareness of the Duty of Care and related maintenance standards for pavement surfaces
A comprehensive understanding of the various processes and stages of deterioration of highway pavements and the related maintenance requirements
