'' The increasing frequency of flooding and a growing awareness of the effects of climate change are drivers towards a greater recognition of the importance of effective surface water drainage systems.

Aims and Objectives:
To raise awareness of the importance of effective design and ongoing maintenance surface water systems
To emphasize the significance controlling pollution and containing storm outflows
To give practical instruction in the design of surface and sub-soil drainage systems.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

Recognise the threats presented by inadequate drainage systems
Apply the acquired skills and knowledge to design of surface and sub-surface systems
