This comprehensive three-day workshop integrates the technical and human factors involved in the application of risk management, to enable delegates to develop robust strategies for risk taking and control.

Course Objectives:
By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

define typical risk taking and risk management behaviour in organisations
define uncertainties and their relationship to project risk
develop risk evaluation criteria from project critical success factors
develop project risk management strategies and control procedures
define risk management roles and requirements for effective team working
define project risks using appropriate identification and analysis techniques
evaluate and rank risks according to impact on project critical success factors
develop and run appropriate simulation models using Monte Carlo techniques
define risk reduction options and conduct net benefit analyses

Course Outline:
The content is based on proven best practices appropriate to engineering and high technology projects. The interactive format includes structured group activities, case studies, video and realistic scenarios. A comprehensive manual is provided. Some preparatory work is required in advance of the workshop. Delegates will be encouraged to identify action plans for application to their own project activities after the workshop.
