The Requirements

The first step toward achieving a CFA charter is passing a series of 3 rigorous exams over 3 to 4 years. Candidates must have their bachelor’,s degree by the end of the examination year. The Roadmap

Most of the topics covered in the CFA curriculum build upon concepts covered in undergraduate finance or MBA programs. If you are a student in such a program, the sooner you sit for the exam, the more likely much of the content will be familiar to you. You should expect to devote over 200 hours toward preparation for each examination. Given that less than 50% of candidates pass the first level exam the first time, it is critical that you know where to focus and have the support you need to succeed.
