'' In today’s uncertain business environment decision makers are faced with complex situations. It is important that firms and individuals operating in local and global markets are able to model business strategies and investment opportunities and to evaluate and understand the risks associated with business decisions.
Business modelling and risk analysis are an essential part of the decision-making process. Business models enable decision makers to:
calculate measures of value of a business or strategy compare strategic options identify key drivers of value anticipate unfavourable outcomes structure and document decisions communicate decisions and the rationale for those decisions to stakeholders Attendees should have reasonable but not advanced Excel skills.
Topics Covered The course will cover the following topics:
framing and scoping decisions calculating value measures e.g. NPAT, NOPAT, CF, CFROI, Payback, EVA, Value-at-Risk model structuring and best-practice spreadsheet modelling collecting information and estimating input variables and distributions sensitivity analysis �understanding critical issues and value drivers probability analysis �quantifying uncertainty gaining insight from decision trees and evaluating real options communicating and presenting to decision makers and boards ...''
