'' Asserting your voice is a key business skill. The ability to get your message across without offending others is vital when forming and maintaining relationships. It’s all about getting your ideas heard by the right people, at the right time and in the right way �definitely a skill that needs practice to master.

Topics Covered
This two day Short Course will give plenty of opportunity for participants to practice key steps in being assertive. It covers the following content:

Defining the Four Behaviour Types
Passive, Aggressive, Passive Aggressive and Assertive
Exploring the three "ego states": Parent, Adult and Child
Examining the key elements required for building cultures of ‘responsibilityâ€?rather than ’blame’
Assessing how assertive you actually are!
Listing key steps for asserting your voice
Practicing these steps in a variety of different situations to gain confidence in using them:
A friend wants to borrow something
Your boss overloads you
You are under-confident in meetings
A customer is attacking you personally
Exploring ways of giving and receiving feedback to get your message across clearly
Giving and accepting compliments so as to enhance relationships
Identifying ways for giving and responding to criticism
Constructing your own Bill of Assertive Rights
