'' This programme develops the ability of participants to manage a project from initiation through development of competent plans and control of project progress through to successful delivery, closeout and evaluation.

The programme is developed for those managers and staff from most disciplines in an organisation who are involved in managing projects of all kinds or the handling of change. It would be particularly helpful to managers who are newly appointed or have had limited project management training as well as for engineers who have had formal project management training but are having difficulties in applying the principles to their projects.

The objectives of this course are to provide participants with the ability to:

Develop their understanding of a structured project management methodology �in this case PRINCE2� chosen as a generic project management methodology
Prepare practical project documentation to properly control a project. This includes the development of Project Breakdown Structures, Network Diagrams, Gantt Charts and Resource Loading histograms
Manage change through assessing the impact of potential changes to ensure sound business decisions are made
Manage people more effectively through the fundamentals of team motivation and improving project communications.
Report progress in a concise, effective way
Manage project risk to maximise the chance of success
Achieve an orderly close with a project closure checklist approach to managing the end of their projects.
