'' The best and most capable design and construction teams can not meet project objectives without the right materials being at right place at the right time. Availability of the required equipment & materials plays a vital role in determining the performance of an engineering project. The costs of not satisfying these objectives and availability can be disastrously high, both in financial terms and in terms of consequential impacts.

This course is designed for:
Procurement staff, project engineers and construction engineers in all disciplines. It is designed as a cross-functional course intended to equip all contributors to an engineering project with understanding of the different roles essential to the satisfactory completion of the project, in-budget and on time.

Aims:
This course addresses the value of a pro-active approach to planning materials availability to foresee and avoid potential supply delays that would affect project schedules and budgets. It enables procurement staff to understand the needs of the engineers whilst enabling the engineers to understand the valuable contribution that can be made by the procurement professional.
