'' Network+ is a company-neutral, industry-wide recognition of networking knowledge. It is a
logical next step from the A+ certification as well as a path for entering directly into
networking. This course covers a wide range of vendor and product neutral networking
technologies.
This course (when combined with Network+) is one of the electives for the MCSE 2000 certifications.
Course Objectives
The course is broken into two modules, as follows:
�Module 1 �Networking Technology (67%)
�This section covers a basic overview, the first four layers of the OSI model,
fundamentals of TCP/IP, TCP/IP utilities, remote connectivity and security.
�Module 2 –Networking Practices (33%)
�This module covers implementing and installing a network, administering a change
control system, maintaining and supporting a network, identifying, assessing and
responding to problems and troubleshooting a network. ...''
